Lattize Restaurant

8 02 2010

Before going to Mass today, I called Lattizze Restaurant for a dinner reservation for myself and hubby (I’ll show the numbers later in case you want to go there too). The guy I was able to talk to was kind enough to give me the directions. It’s not hard finding the restaurant. Look for Mabini St. in Shaw Blvd. (it’s the one in front of Puregold and has Shell gasoline station at the corner), enter that street and turn left at the second block (first block is Calderon St., turn left at the next block). After turning left, turn left again at Pilar St. The restaurant is along Pilar St., you won’t miss it at the left side of the road.

I’ve heard about Lattize from some bloggers who posted about this Ultimate Taste Test held last year. The reviews are quite unanimous in saying that the corned beef from Lattize was a standout. Unfortunately tonight, the corned beef was still being marinated so it wasn’t available 😦

We were very satisfied with our food. It was a bit pricey though, almost P800 per head. But the food really is great, you won’t be sorry πŸ™‚

The interiors are simple but classy and elegant. It suits the place well.

These are the tables as you enter the place.

This is the other side of the room, near the kitchen.

There's not much, but they have a decent wine selection.

The service is really superb. The waiters are very courteous and attentive. They prepare your dishes just right before you are done with your current dish. I like that because they don’t crowd the table and the dishes are prepared timely so they’re fresh. I also like that they change plates and utensils (fork/knife) each time. To me, these are the basic signs of a fine dining restaurant πŸ˜› Worth every penny in my opinion πŸ™‚

While waiting for our appetizers, they served us garlic bread πŸ™‚

Here’s what we got for the night:

Iced Tea

Gambas Al Ajillo. This is a real winner!

Chef's Salad

Honey Glazed Bbq Chicken

Pan Fried Salmon

Everything was delish! The real winner for me is the gambas. I’m sure it would be a tough choice had the corned beef been available. I heard that they have good steaks and crispy pata. Will definitely try them next time πŸ™‚

For those of you who would like to visit Lattize, these are their numbers:

Going there is really easy. As I said above, along Shaw Blvd., enter Mabini Street (in front of Puregold with Shell gasoline station at the corner). Turn left at the second street (the first street you’ll see is Calderon St., skip that then turn left at the next street). Turn left again at the first street you’ll see, that is Pilar St. The restaurant is at the left side. Look for this sign πŸ™‚

Yup, with electric wires and all that πŸ˜›
